Algorithmix will operate as from May 2009 and has been created in order to help RHT Bus Services Ltd, to meet the challenge of a competitive transport industry in Mauritius and to be at the forefront of this challenging industry through state of the art technologies. RHT Ventures has teamed up with Payment Exchange Ltd (PEX) to bring the first travel card in Mauritius, which will be named Etoile – Star in French.

Such card aims to adopt the same principles of Navigo pass in Paris, Oyster in London and Octopus in Hong Kong These automated travel card systems have become well entrenched and have changed the lives of commuters drastically in these cities.

Therefore, Bus commuters will be able to pay for their rides through the Etoile travel card, which will provide a secure and convenient payment method. The card can be waved in front of terminals with no need for it to be swiped or inserted into readers.

Two types of Etoile cards will be offered:

1. The Etoile card can handle contactless payments for low valued transactions, ie the anonymous card which can be available at multiple selling points; and

2. The Etoile card can be used as a chip and pin card for larger transactions, subject to the credit approval of a Bank.

The company will develop Telematics, Location Based applications and other technologies. RHT Ventures intends to replicate the success of Island Communications Ltd (ICL) in the Indian market. The new venture will benefit from more than 11 years of experience of the RHT Group in the tracking business to foray the Indian Telematics market.

Showbizz Entertainment Ltd
Showbizz is the first interactive digital signage network in the Indian Ocean. The company was setup in 2005 and operates a network of out of home advertising in 50 sites. High definition digital displays have been placed in strategic public location, which show a continuous stream of advertising and infotainment. Showbizz develops its own multimedia content and news is sourced from our strategic partner La Sentinelle, which is the biggest media group in Mauritius.
